Good budget omakase - 13 pieces went by really quickly. From start to finish it was around 45 minutes. Although with such a short time frame, I felt like I still had ample time to enjoy my food. All the pieces felt unique in their own way, especially the otoro toro caviar piece. I would recommend 13 Water if you are looking for a quick dinner rather than a place to chat.
My experience at 13 Water was absolutely incredible! We booked our reservations earlier in the week for a Friday night and were fortunate enough to get a table. The 13-piece sushi offering was sensational—easily some of the best sushi I have ever tried. The quality of the fish is outstandingly fresh, and you can truly taste the difference. The concept of having a three-person sushi chef station is super cool and adds to the unique atmosphere. Beyond the food, the service was equally impressive. The staff provided quick and attentive service, which made the entire experience delightful. My wife and I agreed this was one of the coolest dining experiences we've ever had. We are absolutely planning to go back to 13 Water! Highly, highly recommend.
This omakase spot in Alphabet City has been one that I kept hearing raving reviews about from my friends! With a cozy interior, it's the perfect spot for a date night. At $85 pp, it is 13 courses and offers nigiri, some handrolls, and a toast. I thought the quality of all the fish was delicious and loved the garnishes for each. I truly enjoyed their toro truffle, otoro toro caviar, and their toast. At the end of the course, we were still hungry so we got their spicy salmon handroll and their scallop uni, which were both amazing. I would note, however, that they are pretty strict with the 60 minute dining limit. As soon as we finished, they rushed us out the door so they could sit the next group. Wasn't the biggest fan of that as it made the dining experience feel rushed, but I also understand. Overall, great budget omakase and I can see why it's a favorite.
